2025 Asian Physics Olympiad
The education sector enjoys the care and support of the wise leadership - may God support it; As a national priority and a major driver for achieving the goals of comprehensive and sustainable development, and one of the main pillars of Saudi Vision 2030, and the objectives of the Human Capacity Development Program, which seeks to build future generations of the nation’s sons and daughters to compete with the world. The Kingdom’s hosting of the Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) 2025 and its diverse and rich activities - within this important annual Asian scientific competition with the participation of 27 countries - reflects the interest of the wise leadership - may God support it - in the talented and creative, supporting science and innovation, spreading knowledge, encouraging academic and scientific excellence, as well as enhancing the Kingdom’s regional and international position in the scientific and educational field, and hosting major scientific events, the latest of which was the International Chemistry Olympiad 2024. Through this hosting, the Kingdom seeks to enhance confidence in our sons and daughters, students, to compete globally in various scientific fields, develop the spirit of scientific competition among them, contribute to building a creative and innovative generation that contributes to construction, development and achieving national goals, and keep pace with global developments in various elements and components of the educational process, whether in terms of the student’s educational journey and providing appropriate and stimulating learning environments, or in terms of developing and empowering the teacher, in addition to the basic educational components that are based on an educational system that enhances skills and values, and a modern and advanced curriculum that contributes to enhancing the concepts of creativity and innovation, and investing in students’ skills and abilities. The participation of male and female students in this international competition hosted by the Kingdom supports their scientific benefit, increases their interest in physics, enriches their educational experience, encourages them to innovate, and exchanges scientific and cultural experiences and expertise among students, as efforts are integrated in organizing the Olympiad in a strategic partnership between the Ministry of Education, the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
